Sweet Gem Berry is a crop item. Sweet Gem Berry can be grown throughout the Fall. You can grow them with a Rare Seed, which will take 24 days, or less with Speed-Gro (see growth chart below). The berry itself can be purchased from the Traveling Cart for 
9,000g-15,000g while the Rare Seed can be purchased for 1,000g during Spring & Summer and 600-1,000g in other seasons.
The sell price depends on the quality of the item. Refer to the table below.

Speed-Gro will increase growth speed by 10%, or 20% with the Agriculturist Profession.
Deluxe Speed-Gro will increase growth speed by 25%, or 35% with the Agriculturist Profession.
Uses
Giving a Sweet Gem Berry to Old Master Cannoli in the Secret Woods will grant you a Stardrop and a permanent Energy buff.
